Register with Hockey Canada

Register
1. a. Follow the link, Click “Register Now”
2. b. See list of costs and birth years associated with each Division, click “Register Now”
3. c. Login with Hockey Canada registry (email and password with Spordle account)
* if new to Hockey Canada, create an account (remember login information for future!)
4. d. Fill in the information as requested
5. e. Payment:
6. 1. i. Pay Fees online using credit card in registration process (previous steps)
   2. ii. Pay by Email Money Transfer (EMT) to: slmhatreasurer@gmail.com
   3. iii. For any special payment requests please email the Treasurer at: slmhatreasurer@gmail.com

Complete HNO Volunteer Requirements

HNO Coaches Corner
1. a. Select the Division, Level, and Position you would like to volunteer for
2. b. Complete the list of requirements shown on the website
3. 1. i. Respect in Sport – Activity Leader
      1. Click link
      2. Login using the Hockey Canada Spordle account information (Step 1 – Hockey Canada)
      3. Register for Course (you will be reimbursed for the fee through your Division Convenor)
      4. Select “Program Access”
      5. Complete Modules (watch)
   2. ii. Gender Identity & Expression
      1. Click link
      2. There are two (2) drop down menus at top,
         1. a. Left drop down, select Hockey Northwest Ontario (HNO)
         2. b. Right drop down, select Sioux Lookout/Hudson Minor Hockey Association (SLMHA)
      3. Find Course, register
      4. Complete Modules (watch)
   3. iii. Rowan’s Law
      1. Click link
      2. Read information
   4. iv. Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
      1. Please follow this link to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the OPP:
         
         1. Ontario Provincial Police - Police Record Checks (opp.ca)
      2. You will require a volunteer letter which is here:
         1. Download the Volunteer Letter
   5. vi. For Coaches:
      1. Register and complete Online Coach Course
      2. Register for Coach 1 (U7 & U9), Coach 2 (U11 and up)
      3. Discuss with Division Convenor on Coaching Clinic availability
      4. Course fee reimbursement can be done through your Division Convenor
   6. vii. For Trainers:
      1. Register and complete Hockey Canada Safety Program Level 1
      2. Discuss with your Convenor for course availability
      3. Course fee reimbursement can be done through your Division Convenor
